My name is Hala Alkattan I am a junior studying Political Science and International Studies at the University of South Florida. I am the current president of Student Organize for Syria at USF, and I am very passionate about the current humanitarian crises in Syria. I care about rising awareness and I really hope to help in any way I can.
Hiba Shaban is a first year masters student completing her masters in bioinformatics and computational biology at the University of South Florida (USF). She graduated with a biomedical sciences Bachelor of Science and a minor in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2015. Hiba was heavily involved in the Muslim Student Association and Students for Justice in Palestine during her undergraduate years. She was also the founder and president of SOS at UCF during her senior year at UCF. She is currently the Vice President of SOS at USF.
Hamza Kattih is a junior at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is majoring in biomedical sciences and is looking to pursue a career and future in the health path. He also has a minor in psychology. Being born and raised in Chicago, he has lived the majority of his life in the States. However he has also experienced life in the other side of the world having lived in both Syria (2 years) and Saudi Arabia (5 years). hobbies include flying and playing soccer
My name is Yasmin Ayoubi and I am currently a sophomore at the University of South Florida. I am pursuing a biomedical sciences degree and plan to work in the medical field. Some of my hobbies include playing sports and discussing politics. I am very passionate about Syria and am really looking forward to making a difference in Syria, no matter how small. Hopefully through the combined efforts of SOS and other dedicated organizations, we can help those in need.
